Players for GMJFA will be required to provide the following equipment for practice and games.

A NOCSEA certified football helmet, Vegas Gold in color, with a black facemask and chin strap (Riddell, Schutt, Adams, and Xenith) Cost: $60.00-$250.00

Shoulder pads (Schutt, Douglass, Rawlings, Riddell, Gear2000) Cost: $30.00-$200.00

Game pants with hip, butt, thigh, and knee pads (either black or vegas gold depending on team choice, your head coach will advise you on which color pants to purchase). Many times pants are sold without pads. Some pants may require a separate girdle with hip, butt and thigh pads. Cost: $20.00-$75.00

Game socks that are knee high (either black or gold depending on team choice, your head coach will advise you on which color to purchase.) Cost: $10.00-$20.00

Molded rubber cleats for grades 2^nd through 6^th. (Detachable cleats are not allowed for grades 2^nd through 6^th.) Cost: $40.00-$100.00

Detachable cleats are allowed for grades 7^th and 8^th. Cost: $60.00-$150.00

Mouth guard (no clear or white---must be colored per JMFA rules) Cost: $1.00-$20.00.

Game Jerseys will be provided by GMJFA. Game jerseys should not be worn at practice.

Optional equipment:

Practice pants/jersey

Cold weather gear worn under game gear (recommended for cold days, should be black in color)

Forearm pads, neck rolls, rib protectors, hand pads

Gloves

Athletic Supporter and cup

Face Shields (must be clear in color, no exceptions per JMFA rules)

GMJFA will be holding an Equipment Sale on Saturday, July 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Green Mountain High School. Please check the website for further details. Local vendors will have equipment for sale and are available to help your player with their equipment needs.

A small amount of used equipment may be available at the equipment sale. No guarantees can be made on availability of size or items.
